Progress Report

It’s been a while since I’ve given an update. This is probably because I don’t want to face reality. The clock is ticking, and it’s hard to tell whether I’m progressing fast enough. So far, I have a site with many basic features. There are a few other features that need to be integrated, and I want to spruce up the design a bit more. Today I spent the entire day working on the front end, trying to make it look better. It doesn’t look terrible, but I want it to look amazing. Before it goes public, it needs to have a sexy landing page. I’ll probably hire someone to do it. Maybe I’ll crowd source it with 99designs. I also want to make DB queries more efficient, so I’ll have to do a lot of analysis and most likely restructure my models :( . Also, I’m not sure whether it’s safe to let users edit their own CSS. Once the site is about ready to launch, I’ll setup Google Analytics to track my conversions and I also want to look into simultaneous A/B testing to see which pages/designs convert better.
